I am not a Black Friday shopper. Never have been. Maybe it's because I've never wanted anything bad enough to stand out in the dark for hours waiting in an unmoving line (except maybe Andy Gibb concert tickets or something like that). Maybe it's because crowds bring out my claustophobia to the point of panic sometimes. Either way, it was fun to stay home and decorate and finally turn on some Christmas music. I only got peeved at the kids once and that was when they spoke of the Elvis Christmas tunes in a disparaging manner (they should be glad their Grandma wasn't in the house or she would've opened a can of whoop butt).
I love my Christmas pig pillow!
A little Lemon Pledge, some Norman Rockwell plates, and other festive items and the piano is looking better than ever.
The Cocoa Shack is a place where we can get together. Cocoa Shack baby!
Joey put this shelf up for me and I'm really liking it. It frees up the sideboard for Christmas dinner and gives me a great place for my Balsam candle from Bath & Body Works. Their candles are really the best I've found and I love anything that smells like pine or a burning fireplace. My favorite Christmas smells.
Dollar store sparkle cones (or "elf hats" as Skate likes to call them).
And finally, a little twinkle in my valance! Happy!
I've got a great project I'm working on which will be my annual Christmas gift to my readers. It's a great little tutorial that a lot of folks will love. Back with that in a few days. In the meantime, if you're looking for some quick and easy Christmas gift ideas, don't forget to check out my Tutorial Page! I'm trying to sew most of my gifts this year (for real this time!) and I'm actually enjoying it since I'm starting earlier than usual. Funny how that works. Keep on sewing!!
