Hey Cupcake! (this is harder than it looks)
I'm working on this little apron for a dress. I know, another apron. But when I said I was on an apron kick I meant it. This one is turning our super cute but my machine applique work is harder than I thought it would be. I don't have much experience with it and I think it's another one of those things that just takes lots of practice. But overall I'm pleased.
The stitches on the teapot are sort of wobbly. Especially the handle. I really like this fabric though because it makes it look like a chintz teapot (don't you think?).
I started with this. Some sketches and fabric choices.
Here's where I'm at now. Not bad for a novice (as long as nobody look close). Don't you just want that cupcake?! Fun!

I think it's a great first try! I love how it says tea party at the bottom.

I love this! It's so cute, I especially love the extra details like the tea bag and the steam. Great job!

Love it.
I have had issues when trying to satin stitch around appliques. Some of my kids shirts are quite wonky.

Jona, the apron is great! I really like pictures taken "in progress". I can never remember to do that - probably because the picture taking ,for me, is the least fun part. Your whole bkog has a fresh, springy air to it.

Jona-
I think we're always hardest on ourselves...the apron turned out great. The details and colors used are the best, beautiful job!

Jona I love it. Don't point out your parts you don't like! If you'd say nothing we wouldn't have even looked there. The whole thing is super super cute. I've been wanting to do that very thing. I have fabric that would make a darling teapot. You've made me want to do it very soon now.
